The Family Team
This team is headed by two members of the Children panel who both regularly accept instructions on behalf of children and parents in public law Children Act disputes. The team also provides expertise in divorce and dissolving civil parnerships including financial matters and disputes relating to children. We can also advise in relation to contact (access) and residence (custody) disputes where parents are seperating or have seperated; adoption; cohabitation disputes; child abduction and injunctions where domestic violence is an issue.
We accept instructions on both a legal aid and private basis and have experience in acting for clients in proceedings in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court levels.
Can I get Free Legal Advice ?
We may be able to give you free advice and assistance under the Legal Help Scheme, if your case is covered by the scheme and you are financially eligible. We can check this for you.
We may also be able to act for you under a Public Funding Certificate if your case is covered by the Public Funding Regulations and you are financially eligible. Again , we can advise you about this.
If you are not eligible for assistance under the Legal Help Scheme or under a Public Funding Certificate, you can instruct us on a private client basis ( i.e. you will need to pay your legal costs yourself). We can advise you further about this if necessary.
Fixed Fee Services
We offer an initial 30 minutes consultation for a fixed fee of £50.
